Dr. Sara Doolin-Thompson, DNP, APRN-BC, FNP-C, APDM-C, is a board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice and the founder of Wesleyan Medical Practice in Owensboro, Kentucky. Dr. Doolin-Thompson is originally from Kentucky and has dedicated more than 39 years of her life to helping people all around the world with their acute and chronic needs. Dr. Doolin-Thompson completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Phoenix in Tampa, Florida after earning an associate's degree in nursing from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky. She then continued her training at the National Institute of First Assisting, Inc. (NIFA) in Centennial, Colorado. Dr. Doolin-Thompson went on to complete her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (with focus in endocrinology) at Walden University in Baltimore, Maryland and Honolulu, Hawaii in 2021. She has received multiple awards and certifications, including the Association of periOperative Registered Nurse (AORN) Humanitarian Award and The National Society of Leadership and Success award. She is also a proud member of the International Society of Female Professionals. Dr. Doolin-Thompson is exceptionally gifted and passionate about her role as a provider in patients' health care journeys. Her professional life encompasses years of clinical, managerial, and leadership experience. She has worked with some of the most complex adult patients through clinical evaluation, family and emergency medicine, endocrinology, trauma surgery, adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, and intensive care. Dr. Doolin-Thompson also completed her residence in women's health, encompassing over 14 years of esthetic training and experience, where she founded her medical spa, Sublime Skin. One of Dr. Doolin-Thompson's biggest passions has been working with medical mission teams, providing medical attention and surgical procedures to serve underprivileged patients in communities around the world. She feels that the best thing about being in healthcare is helping people achieve an improved quality of life.
Jessica Bre Millay has been focusing on Primary Care and Endocrine since February 2020. She has been a nurse since 2012 when she graduated with her Associates Degree in Nursing. She has worked on a Surgical/Oncology unit, but most of her time was spent in Labor and Delivery/Postpartum. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2016 and from Kentucky Christian University with her Masters of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She has a love of helping people and has loved seeing people’s lives change while working at Wesleyan Medical Practice.
